Nice zoo and has all your major animals. Im only giving this a 4 star because its kind of expensive! $32 per adult but the kids had a great time. They also have a dinosaur exhibit which the kids really liked. The best way to get there is to go to Elizabeth quay and take the ferry across the river. Then a short walk through the park to the zoo. I would buy the membership if I lived in Perth as it isnt that much more expensive than the one day purchase.
Perth Zoo is a great place to take the family for an enjoyable day out. Now is the perfect time to come to the zoo to see the dinosaurs. Its great for the kids. Make sure you book ahead if you want to go on the giraffe experience. Also consider booking a zebra car tour if you have kids and or have difficulty walking around. If you are likely to visit the zoo multiple times in a year definitely get a membership. Very cost effective once you have been 4 times.
Seems a bit pricey at first, but after a day out at the Zoo you'll find it is worth it. We spent a good 2 hours there and were very entertained.Clean, well kept, well maintained.Great variety of animals. Really appreciate all of the conservation efforts.
The zoo is good. Your cant compare it to the east coast zoos but you to get closer to the animals in terms of enclosures.Loin exhibit was out of commission as they were expanding and renovating so they lost a star there. I wonder where they kept the lions as they were not relocated to another part of the zoo. Hope they arent in cages the whole time until renovations are done.They have a great lawn area for picnics and it is a good day out for the family. The orangutan exhibit was the most modern looking and most interesting as well as the elephant.For the entry price they charge they should be able to renovate more I would think.
Beautiful place to spend a day with your family and friends. You can see a huge selection of various animals. The ambient is spectacular and cozy. On many spots you have toilets and you can grab a small bites. It is very easy to stay on track and see everything. Near the Carousel you have place Wild bites caffee where you can eat and have a coffee. Good recommendation is to try a Chicken burger with fries. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
