Recently had eye surgery at South Perth hospital from Dr Mark Strachan, assisted by Dr T Nichols, his anaesthetist. Both were extremely professional and caring. Needed an overnight stay and found the staff and general conditions to be excellent. Very impressed with this hospital and the staff. Thanks for a top job
Visited the hospital with my partner getting her wisdom teeth removed. All the nursing staff were amazing, friendly and kind. Unfortunately I suffered a minor seizure whilst waiting in recovery with my partner, only to wake to the nurses on duty quickly, gently and incredibly sympathetically were onto it. Helped me into a wheelchair and to my own bed. I have to give a huge thank you to nurse Jennifer who went above and beyond to make sure I was feeling okay, looked after me and went the extra mile to ensure I was doing well after the incident. This was by far the best experience I've ever had with any hospital, you don't go in feeling like just another patient (although I wasn't) they treat you as a friend and genuinely care for your well being.
Review by Helena Sauzier: Had such a great experience at South Perth Hospital. Had to stay overnight due to having a adenotonsillectomy. The nursing staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (even at 3am). They really made me feel at home. Room was clean and had everything I needed. Food was good (you get a menu so you have a number of choices). Also a special thanks to my surgeon - Chris Dhepnorrarat and to my Anaesthetist - Neil Collins. Both so kind and professional. Felt that I was in the best hands. Would recommend South Perth Hospital to everyone!
was really well looked after and the dinner was honestly amazing. I had the best fish dish I've had in a long time, really well cooked carrot and sweet potato and an amazing beef and barley soup; all of which I chose from a impressive selection. Only regret was the fact that I was in there for a tonsillectomy and couldn't eat as much as I would've liked as I kept forgetting how to swallow without washing things down with water.
My mother was in this hospital 2017 for arm surgery,it was supposed to be a 3 day stay.The very next morning i went in early,to find she had been sent back to her nursing home.The surgeon or doctor had not been in to discharge her when i approached the hospital they would not tell me who discharged her.I went to the nursing home where she had been showered with nothing to cover her wound,which was saturated.Of course i complained the next day she passed away..infection we will never know,it was a Friday did the hospital want patients gone for week end ????I do not recommend this hospital.
