For years Ive never had an issue at the court. 3 times in the space of 1 month I have experienced extremely poor behaviour from straight people in what is meant to be a gay space. Got coward punched near the bar the first time, by a girl sticking up for her boyfriend who threw a glass at my friend. Went to security straight after, couldnt care less and made 0 effort to go after the girl despite myself having bruising and bleeding on the inside of my mouth. Last night I watched my friend have a drink poured down her because she refused to make out with a guyAnd to top it all off I Lined up for the bathroom labeled everyone and was yelled at as he claimed it was a men only bathroom and that I was disgusting and to go line up for the girls bathroom.not once have I had an issue with a member of the lbgt+ community here, it has always been straight people. Im not sure how you plan to address this issue, if at all, because Im clearly not the only person feeling this way.Unfortunately the court has become a place for straight people and couples alike to take over a gay space. Never have I not been to the court and have a straight couple obnoxiously and forcefully try to take me home with them.I love the court, or used to love the court, however Im beginning to feel less and less safe here. It is an awesome venue but there are a lot of issues that need to be addressed and sorted out, as at the end of the day it is a gay space.
Their menu is always changing but has some creative items at the moment. Like Deep Fried Mac and Cheese Balls and Chorizo and Saffron Risotto Cakes. Love that they serve Elsie on Tap.
When I first visited the court it was amazing and now its stillAmazing the upstairs bar is perfect l. I love vibe, the food staff and people will always be back
This is not a gay bar! Ive been twice now and both times I felt really uncomfortable, the door staff are rude, the bar staff are inattentive. There are lots of straight aggressive people, dont you dare speak to someone you think is gay as they will look you up and down like last nights left overs. The music is straight, they do drag shows but its quite obvious its not for the gay community- they play up to the straight audience. There are no gay bars in Perth, I would strongly recommend going to some of the straight bars as you will be treated better and have more fun!
Good place to go anyday of the week for a good meal and drinks. The staff are professional and friendly. The best music in Perth and has good vibes. Whenever I go there I always say to myself I need to come here more often because is incredibly. The music is so good if U like to dance and have fun on Friday or Saturday night is a good place to start your night. It is just amazing I can't put it in words you have to try it to see what I am talking about one thing for you will not regret so I highly recommend the Court
