The food is very good and offers great value. The service, however, leaves a bit to be desired. It feels as if the people working there didnt enjoy what theyre doing. In any case, if you dont mind the service aspect and want to try Venezuelan staples in a nice and convenient setting, do yourself a favour and pay these guys a visit. Its well worth it.
Fun and tasty option in the CBD - Venezuelan is not something you'd get every day. Many dishes are wrapped inside a kind of thin omelette. Ample vegetarian options. Indoor and outdoor seating, some on high tables, which adds to the casual atmosohere. Can get a bit chilly in winter, even inside.
This is our favourite Resturant. The food is fantastic, full of flavour. Taste for most people and all gluten free.I love the tasting plates because I get to try different flavours from the smokey meats to the different sauces and dippers awesome thanks guys keep up the great work.
Four of us came for a quick dinner on Friday before going to a show. Didnt have a reservation but thankfully there was a table available and we were well accommodated and promptly tended to. Ive worked in hospitality myself for 15 years and enjoy giving detailed service to patrons who ask for food and beverage recommendations. When I go out, I enjoy receiving the same type of service, especially when trying somewhere new. Our waitress (I forgot to ask her name) was very fun and extremely helpful, I explained that we had only a short dining time before our show and we had never tried Venezuelan food. The lovely young lady ensured to recommend foods that would be ready in the short dining time that we had. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, the meats were cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. The beverage list contains a good selection of international wines, beers and spirits, and we tried some of these as well. We shared a large entree platter, enjoyed a different main dish each and had 2 alcoholic drinks each, for a total bill of $222, ($55.50 per person). Thank you for your fantastic service and wonderful food. Will definitely be back next time we head into the city!
Me and my partner had a terrible experience here last night! I booked well in advance for our anniversary, booking a low table inside, when we arrived their were no tables available, despite that fact I confirmed our booking with them. We then got given a high table, outside! The entree was a nice calamari dish, but my partners main cost us $37 and he got a quarter of a sausage, and the worlds smallest steak! for $37 I'd expect something a little bit bigger. My main was fine, however as we were trying to enjoy our food the person next to us was smoking and it was blowing into us quite significantly, which is just foul! (this person had two cigarettes in while we tried to enjoy our food). We didn't bother staying for dessert. Yes I appreciate it was busy, but I didn't get what I booked and as we used the entertainment book voucher I expected something a lot better for what we got, especially for a gold section restaurant! Very disappointing, Over priced and will not be back.
